• Due: Read Catcher through Ch. 7 (pg. 52). Send me your questions about the research paper (correct citations, how to paraphrase, style, you name it).
• Class: Making sense of Holden; understanding slang; your research paper questions.
Friday, May 9th (F)
• Due: Work on your research paper; keep reading Catcher.
• Class: Continuation of Thursday’s lesson.
Monday, May 12th (S)
• Due: Read Catcher through Ch. 11 (pg. 80).
• Class: Investigating the author of The Catcher in the Rye.
Note: The second draft of your research paper will be due on Tuesday, May 13th. No late days on drafts. The final paper will be due at the end of that week.

About Me
This is my third year at AHS, and I am very excited to be here. I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri and first moved to Massachusetts when I attended Amherst College, where I majored in both English and Russian literature. After graduation, I accepted a Fulbright Scholarship to the University of Tartu in Estonia, where I studied children's literature and semiotics ("the study of signs and symbols"). After a few years in the wide world of business, I decided it was high time to get my Masters in Education from Tufts University and join the staff at Arlington High School.
